<subject>An FYI</subject>
<event>
There is a superintendent who is expelling a group of students who dared protest the Iraq War. And he is doing it in a very uneven fashion. Read about it <a href="http://community.connectwithkids.com/post/minivandiaries/blog/the_case_of_the_morton_west_high_schoolwho_really_should_be_.html">here.</a>

<subject>Writer's Strike</subject>
<event>
If this is something important to you, if you think writer's should get a share of the profits the megacorporations make off of the movies and TV shows you see, and if you'd like the strike to end as quickly as possible, you might consider signing <a href="http://www.petitiononline.com/WGA/petition.html">this petition.</a>

<subject>Outrageous Snipping</subject>
<event>
Look. I always offer a heavy dose of skepticism when it comes to 'conspiracies in the mainstream media' but this is getting rediciculous. Some Hillary supporters have twisted Sen. Obama's words in an EXTREMELY blatant way. <a href="http://mediamatters.org/items/200711160003">Here.</a>

<subject>More Romney Fun</subject>
<event>
So if you hadn't heard about it, recently a set of mysterious 'push poll' calls were made to voters in Iowa and New Hampshire that were blatantly manipulative and basically attacked Mitt Romney for being a mormon. Here is the interesting thing, however. The company doing making these calls is BASED in Utah. Members of the company have donated to Mitt Romney's campaign. Mitt Romney has hinted that McCain or Guillani are behind it, and heaven knows Guillani in particular has pulled some dirty tricks, but at the same time, if you're going to hire a company to attack mormons, unless you ARE a mormon, do you really expect me to believe that a company based out of PROVO UTAH is going to take the business of someone that wants to bash mormons? Ergo, the more logical conclusion is that Mitt Romney is deliberately hiring these people to make them think people are trying to be mean and nasty and attack him for being mormon...so they won't notice things like...he's a jerk even if you ignore the fact that he's directly related by blood to a former member of the First Presidency.
