Most people wake up

And are glad its a nightmare

But some days

For some of us

You wake up

And the test you forgot to take

Was real

And taking it

When the teacher let you drop it

Was what actually failed you

And so you failed graduate school

And ended up where fate choose

Which meant nothing to anyone

For nothing and no reason

And there are moments

Banality lets you dismiss as singular

But collectively

You know the supernatural is real

As if Casper the fucking friendly ghost

Flew up

And booped you on the nose

And sometimes your life

Is the Amazing Digital Circus

You're a Bug Under Glass

An advanced project for things that feed

On your despair

You personally

And you tell yourself

The sun will cum up

And life will move on

But you remember the test
