Golden Quisling of the Week - Seven Democratic Ice Nazi Traitors

This week’s Golden Quisling award goes to the seven House Democrats who chose to side with Republicans to fund ICE, an agency whose record of abuse, lawlessness, and intimidation is no longer even disputed—just tolerated by cowards.

Meet the winners:

  • Henry Cuellar (TX)

  • Don Davis (NC)

  • Laura Gillen (NY)

  • Jared Golden (ME)

  • Vicente Gonzalez (TX)

  • Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA)

  • Tom Suozzi (NY)

These members didn’t “vote pragmatically.”
They didn’t “hold their nose.”
They didn’t “avoid a shutdown.”

They actively chose to legitimize and bankroll a federal enforcement apparatus that operates with near-total impunity, whose abuses are documented, whose intimidation tactics are visible, and whose mission has been openly weaponized for political terror.

And they did it after years of evidence, not before.

Let’s be clear about the lie they’re selling:

“We had to fund DHS as a whole.”

Bullshit.
Congress writes bills. Congress sets conditions. Congress decides what gets fenced, capped, audited, or denied. If you vote yes without guardrails, you’re not neutral—you’re endorsing the status quo.

This wasn’t a misunderstanding.
This wasn’t a procedural error.
This was career preservation masquerading as governance.

These votes tell us exactly who these people are when pressure is applied:

  • When forced to choose between vulnerable communities and “looking tough”

  • Between accountability and donor comfort

  • Between party values and swing-district cosplay

They chose the badge, the cage, and the shrug.

That’s what makes this quisling behavior—not disagreement, but collaboration with an abusive system while pretending you had no choice.

History doesn’t remember people like this kindly.
It barely remembers them at all—except as footnotes explaining how bad things were allowed to continue.

Enjoy the gold, folks. You earned it.
