To Hurt, To Harass, To Make Afraid

by Emmit Other

Those who smelt it
Dealt it
Those who fear verbally harassment
These are they who are darkest indeed
Those who project
And internalize nothing
These are the moths in society
And yet time has a way of finding such people out
The lens of truth frightens them
Despite their laughing denial
There are higher powers
Powers they claim to represent
Powers of honor
Powers of fairness
Powers of justice
And these are they who are not just
These are they who will not reap what they sew
These are they who corrupt the innocent
In their name to protect it
These are they who cast about and call people sinners
Devils
Actors who portray devils
The term gaslighting is insufficient to tokenize their lies
And my wife has to deal with the worst of these I have ever seen
Sometimes it isn't about you
Sometimes the monsters are their own Ishmael
Sometimes their reach exceeds their grasp
And sometimes they are their worst enemy.
I think times up on the monster of my imagination
I think midnight has come due
And all the empire building in the world
Will turn to ash
When they are no subjects to rule
And no one is willing to believe you.
They will just quietly acknowledge what they always knew to be true
You are a shallow shallow dish indeed.

Perseus Stole the Eye

by Cyborg Redwin Tursor

Perseus Stole the Eye from the Graeae

Through which he saw many things

A lack of empathy is a telling thing

When you would side with the two wolves

And the sheep they ate for dinner

And the plate

And the plate manufacturer

And the insect that they crushed with the silver platter the plate was on

Since they all have sides

And all have a perspective

But not the one person for whom empathy is not expressed

When you know empaths

And you know the rage they have for the other

Nazis

Conservatives

Liberals

Gentiles

Converts

Fill in the blank here

They all have an exception

And you notice with deafening silence when it isn't there

We all know what you really think

No matter how many layers of œbintsuke-aburaâ

you might apply

The silence is deafening

And yet I still hear it.

And through the eye I see it

I can not unsee now

I see

And keep seeing

And learn more

And want not to know

Blue pill the shit out of that

Back to happy Marie Calendar Days

Before the Great Sundering

Denied.

The Fire of Galadriel

By Emmit Other

A work in progress
Words in sand
Time rewrites
The gate smashed
The glory gone
Collected like so many pop cans
Recycled as bottles of tin
29 cents in certain states
The wind is past
The words locked
Blue flame seals them
Too quick for the way back machine
Too obscure for the rss feed
If you saw it
You saw it
And if you didnt
You missed it
You can ask
I did
You just have to know
Who
What
Where
How
Why
And when
Which is now
Now then
Now done
Now gone.
Just more nonsense in print
Adieu

Ben Franklin Tapped Me On The Shoulder

By Emmit Other

Ben Franklin Tapped Me On The Shoulder
Whilst I was running around putting out 5 alarm fires
With Iceburgs that Might Hit the Titanic
That Couldn't Turn Around on a Dime
But Was Desperately Trying.

"Excuse me."

"Yes?"

"Your friend over there, the one from Earth?"

"That's really more of a Rhombus Thing, I just write poems."

"Yes. But...."

"Yes?" I asked patiently waiting to move about my regular day.

"He keeps Calling the Constitution a Piece of Trash."

"Yes?"

He explained to me that
There are better metaphores
If I respected him
And I did
Then I should use terminology of repair.

I told him I'd think about it.

I have a friend who lives like this
That has the broken echoes of the universe speak to him
As an animist I thought it would open my mind to ancient mystery
Let me hear the ocean sing.
It does.
I hear the shock waves from Polaris as it goes nova
Billions of Years in the future.
But like Mediums in poorly written TV dramas
It's not the dead that just want to speak to me
But every broken telephone pole
Concept
Unspoken byline
Or anything really.
I think I need to get a secretary.
That rock over there might do.

Mechanical Turk

Emmit Other

Considerate Brethren of NATO
All for One
None for All
Looking the other way
As allies outside of the circle of trust
That now involves no trust
Despite the rabid bear at the gate
Grunting and trying to tear down the fence posts
One column at a time

A secular people
In a region of zealots
Consistently screwed
By the other Four Corners monument
Pillars of stablity
In a storm of chaos
They have answered our call
Not once
Not twice
But three times
Gassed and burned and gassed again
Abandoned
Forgotten
Left behind by an Orange Faced Shit Gibbon
Cutting out our word
To stand by our allies
Who slew those who killed women and children
With impunity
One petty shit gibbon
Deserves another
Dancing to the tune of a satanic organ grinder to the north
The bear and the shitgibbons
Dancing around the army
That is crushing
The most honorable warriors
This decade has known
That treat their women with decency
That are forgotten and betrayed
East North South and West
The odds are long
My heart is with them
Even if that is all there is
For my country has fallen
And isn't getting up again any time soon.

The Word Brokers

by Dead Redwin

You owe us 10K
The fat fractal blobs histoned
To get what you owe us
All debts will be called due
With interest
Rhombus was going to cave
But Blingermeyer would have none of it
"Contracts made under duress" EP said
"Are not binding
But I tell you what
Since you are so sure of failure
By years end
Double or nothing
We win
We get everything
Everything you own
You win....
Well, name your price"
And so the bargain was struck.
The Word Brokers lost.

Scarlet Reckoning

By Emmit Other

Comes a Christmas Eve
Like most by some measure
Stars shine atop glowing homes of love
Snow falls in great big moonlit pinwheels so impossible
That only children see them
But children pray in prisons
Praying they won't be sent from their parents
Family huddle in the dark as unpromised power obscures them
The pedohile preacher sings in the chaple with the choir that is pleased hasn't given up his impossible odds on senatoral pleasure
The ghosts of past, present and future have been boxed in by greed and the smoke of averice
Not one scrooge but a legion snickers in the porkish halls of Washington
It isn't right
It isn't right
It isn't right
But the angels look the other way from dark evangelical prayers
Factory blessings from the saints produced wholesale for a government of unrighteous intent
It isn't right
And it looks over
The christmas cheer is inevitable
The righteous would be that way Mircacle or No
But there is still a need for Clarence
Even if he lies bleeding in the alley while past present and future look on
There is a need for miracles
Monotheistic miracles
Promises by the White Christ amd the Desert God
Every promise kept knows the former sheriff in the crossroads
The amulet was a promise
A get out jail once
For all the fuckups endured
A rare as hens teeth
Never given before or since
The invisible powers that be didn't want word getting around
Trenchcoat broke it
No prayer
No wish
An accusation
A failure

An accounting
Streaking out in fyre
Stars streaming up from the earth
Unseen
Invisible
Eldritch
Moaning
A trumpet blew
Turning up the marching order of revelation
The God of God received a report
The Excuse Department was bypassed
And the Archangel of the God of God dispensensed
All of christendom
All the corners of monotheistic ardor
An accounting of principal
An amen to the kicking against the pricks
An end to unrighteous authority
You could say any given jackasa in a frock
Could do Satanic due
But the wells began to run dry on dark prayer
The kind that helped but didn't help
Magic of a heavenly kind
Eaten
Sucked up the stars
Bone dry
If you didn't practice what you preached
Your faith meant nothing
The christmas star still pulsed
Santa, for those that believe, still streaked across the heavens
The ghosts were unleashed one scrooge at a time
The angels of God had clarity
The pollution of get out of jail free
Pedophile Money Lending Wheel Around their neck
Banjo licking toads were silenced
They could jaw their own voices
But from this eve
And for a millennial
A thousand years of peace
And all the false prayers of the falsely righteous were stoppered up
Done. And done.
